01 · The Platform

Six pillars, one system.

NOVERA is a general financial accounting platform with no industry-specific core. Every pillar below shares one ledger, one security model, one design system and one deployment.

Financial core

General ledger, payables and receivables, banking, allocations, period control and multi-currency on one posting engine.

Statutory compliance

Slovak VAT return and control statement with hand-written XML filings, validated against six accepted submissions.

Reporting

Eighteen native reports rendered by the application itself, with no third-party engine or licence. Print and PDF.

Document AI

A supplier document becomes a coded posting proposal, governed by house rules the system has learned from you.

Investments

Securities portfolio with lots and cost basis, live prices, money-weighted return, strategy targets and compliance.

Communications

Email with an AI layer, live app-to-app messaging, push notifications, planner and secure account notes.

Platform description

What NOVERA.Software is

NOVERA.Software v2.0 is a fully integrated financial accounting system that runs four company catalogs across four jurisdictions in a single application, and it is in production with real users today. It carries a complete transaction-processing core, statutory tax compliance for Slovakia, a native reporting engine, a securities investment platform and an integrated business communications suite. It is a general ledger platform: property rental is one line of business, served by two of its eighteen reports.

Rebuilt, with v1 kept as a reference. The platform replaces a Windows and Telerik era predecessor that is still mounted beside it for reference. Very little of v2 is a port. The standing rule for every v1 query:

  • it is never reused verbatim;
  • it is read, understood and refactored for correctness and speed;
  • every intentional divergence from the original is named in a comment beside the line that makes it.

That discipline has already corrected defects carried in v1 for years, among them:

  • a report that printed one hard-coded company's letterhead whichever entity ran it;
  • a tax figure that was recalculated and rounded on screen instead of being read from the ledger.

Six pillars make up the system.

  • Financial core: general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, banking, allocations, period control and multi-currency.
  • Statutory compliance: the Slovak VAT return and control statement, with their validated XML filings.
  • Reporting: eighteen native reports, delivered on paper and as PDF.
  • Document AI: reads a supplier document into a posting proposal and learns house rules.
  • Investments: a securities portfolio with live price feeds and performance measurement.
  • Business communications: email with an AI layer, app-to-app messaging, notifications, a planner and secure notes.

The aim. A finance team should not have to leave the system to do its work, and should never have to take a number on trust.
